Digital Immigrant:
Born in 1975, I recall when my family got our first cordless phone, our first computer, and most vividly, my first beeper! Upon reflection, getting a beeper/pager was my first lesson in agency/autonomy through Communications Technology. (My students today seem equally enthralled by Tinder!)
When it comes to ELT, I've entered this brave new world of connectivity with both anticipation and suspicion. This blog was compiled for other digital immigrants who would care to communicate openly and without judgment about the finer details, which are not so obvious to us.
Here is a brief run-down of what I've done and where I've been as an English teacher. Feel free to respond with any follow-up questions related to your own teaching context.
